Amends General Municipal Law Section 208-f to extend special accidental death benefits to parents of deceased police officers, firefighters, correction officers, sheriff's deputies, EMTs, bridge and tunnel workers, and sanitation workers if no widow, widower, or eligible children exist

Allows parents to receive a pension equal to the deceased member's salary (reduced by other benefits received) plus escalation percentages ranging from 267.1% for deaths in 1977 or prior down to 0.0% for deaths in 2021

Establishes payment order: first to widow or widower for life, then to children under age 18 (or 23 if students), then to parents for their lifetimes if no other beneficiaries exist

Applies retroactively to deceased members who died before the law's effective date, with benefit payments to parents commencing on the effective date but including all annual increases and escalations from the member's death date

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
