Restores and maintains survivor death benefits for Genesis Villella (the eldest dependent of deceased Police Detective Miosotis Familia) at her original benefit amount of approximately $57,400 per year retroactively and continuing until the youngest dependent reaches ineligibility age.

Maintains current benefit levels for younger dependents Deliliah Vega and Peter Vega at approximately $86,100 per year each, without reduction despite Genesis's benefit restoration.

Applies to death benefits under Administrative Code Section 13-244 and Special Accidental Death Benefits under General Municipal Law Section 208-f for Detective Familia, who was killed in the line of duty on July 5, 2017.

Increases total annual death benefits payable to approximately $229,600 during the benefit period (compared to current $172,200), with an estimated financial impact of approximately $462,700 in unfunded liability as of June 30, 2022.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
