Requires physicians to complete at least 50 hours of continuing medical education as part of their re-registration application following their first re-registration period.

Physicians must submit an attestation under penalty of perjury in a form prescribed by the commissioner confirming completion of the continuing medical education requirement.

Allows physicians to satisfy the requirement through certification or recertification by approved physician specialty organizations instead of completing the 50-hour education requirement.

Defines qualifying physician specialty organizations to include the American Board of Medical Specialties, American Osteopathic Association Bureau of Professional Education, American Board of Physician Specialties, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and other entities approved by the commissioner that meet specified standards.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
