Sets licensure requirements including high school diploma, 24 semester credits in health sciences, 90 hours of lactation-specific education, 300 hours of supervised clinical practice, and passage of the IBLCE exam or equivalent

Requires 45 hours of continuing education every three years for license renewal and mandates all board members comply with the international code of marketing of breast-milk substitutes

Grandfathers existing IBLCE-certified practitioners as automatically eligible for licensure and exempts other licensed healthcare professionals from licensure requirements when performing similar acts within their scope of practice
