Requires all group health insurance policies in the large group market issued, amended, or renewed in New York to cover medically necessary hearing aids purchased from registered hearing aid dispensers or licensed audiologists.

Provides coverage of up to $3,000 every 36 months for persons aged 16 and older for expenses related to purchasing up to two hearing aids.

Provides coverage of up to $2,000 every 24 months for persons under age 16 for up to two hearing aids when medical evidence demonstrates significant hearing changes within a two-year period and existing aids no longer correct hearing loss.

Includes coverage for hearing aid parts, attachments, accessories, recasing, reshelling, and new molds, but excludes batteries and cords.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment and applies to all policies, contracts, and certificates issued, renewed, modified, altered, or amended on or after the effective date.
