Requires all health insurance policies with medical, major medical, or similar comprehensive coverage to cover comprehensive annual medical exams for firefighters regularly employed by any New York municipality.

Mandated exam coverage includes detailed symptom history, in-person physical examination of multiple body systems, vital signs, laboratory assessments (metabolic panel, blood count, lipid panel, thyroid tests, urinalysis), and spirometry.

Includes cancer screening components such as digital rectal exam, cervical Pap test, breast exam, colonoscopies beginning at age 45, mammograms beginning at age 40, and low-dose CT scans based on age and smoking history.

Requires chest x-rays every five years and any additional testing deemed necessary by the Commissioner of Health.

Applies to health insurance policies issued, renewed, modified, altered or amended immediately upon enactment; firefighters must identify their profession and years of service to their primary care provider to receive covered exams.
