Requires all health insurance plans and issuers to cover rehabilitation treatment costs for participants and beneficiaries diagnosed with pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome when medically necessary and certified in writing by an attending physician

Applies the coverage requirement to health maintenance organization policies (Section 3216), group health insurance policies (Section 3221), and other health insurance plans (Section 4303)

Defines "pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome" by reference to the same term used in Public Health Law Section 207(1)(n)

Takes effect on January 1 following enactment and applies to all policies, contracts, and certificates issued, renewed, modified, altered, or amended on or after the effective date
