Allows James E. McTammany to reapply for accidental disability retirement from the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System after being previously denied in 1995.

McTammany was employed by the town of Greece (January 1974 to September 1991) and Rochester's office of emergency communications (September 1991 to July 1995) before suffering a critical on-the-job injury in September 1994.

McTammany must file a written request with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date to reapply for accidental disability retirement.

Currently receiving an ordinary disability benefit, McTammany would become eligible for the higher accidental disability retirement benefit retroactive to his original ordinary disability retirement date if approved.

Estimated immediate past service cost of approximately $266,000 to be shared by the State of New York and all participating employers in the retirement system.
