Grants first responders (firefighters, police officers, emergency medical personnel) employed by the state, public authorities, or municipal corporations line of duty sick leave upon diagnosis of PTSD by a licensed psychiatrist arising from job duties.

Compensates first responders at their regular rate of pay for work hours missed due to PTSD without deducting from accrued sick leave or vacation time.

Prohibits employers from taking adverse personnel actions (discipline, discharge, suspension, demotion, or discrimination) against first responders for utilizing or requesting PTSD-related leave.

Requires the state to reimburse public authorities or municipalities with populations under one million for line of duty sick leave costs granted under this act.

Applies retroactively to currently employed first responders already diagnosed with PTSD and using sick leave, restoring such leave back to their diagnosis date.
