Expands the definition of "military service" in Military Law Section 301 to include state active duty by members of the National Guard activated by the governor of New York or any other state.

Extends reemployment protections under Military Law Section 317 to National Guard members activated for state active duty, including the right to be restored to their former position or equivalent within 90 days of discharge.

Ensures National Guard members activated for state duty receive the same employment benefits and protections as those serving in federal military service, including seniority preservation and prohibition on discharge without cause for one year after restoration.

Allows the State Supreme Court to enforce compliance with reemployment provisions and permits the Attorney General to represent eligible individuals at no cost in reemployment disputes.

Makes technical corrections to pronouns and statutory references throughout Section 317 for gender neutrality and clarity.
