Repeals sections 6-164 and 6-166 of the election law and subdivision 4 of section 6-158, which provided for petitions for opportunity to ballot.

Removes references to "opportunity to ballot" petitions from objection procedures for certificates of designation, nomination petitions, and related ballot access documents.

Eliminates the requirement to hold an uncontested primary election when a petition for opportunity to ballot has been filed, instead prohibiting ballots for uncontested offices unless contested.

Removes opportunity to ballot petition provisions from misconduct statutes relating to inducements or compensation for signing petitions and falsification of petition documents.

Takes effect on the same date and manner as chapter 744 of the laws of 2022.
