Removes language that "not" applies discovery prohibitions to statements made by persons who are parties to actions or proceedings reviewed in medical quality assurance meetings under Education Law Section 6527.

Removes identical "not" language from Public Health Law Section 2805-m regarding disclosure of records and testimony from medical and dental malpractice prevention program committees.

Changes allow discovery of testimony from meeting attendees who are parties to the action or proceeding being reviewed, eliminating prior blanket confidentiality protections for their statements.

Adds gender-neutral pronouns ("or her") throughout the affected sections.

Takes effect 180 days after enactment and applies to all actions and proceedings commenced on or after that date.
