Proposes constitutional amendment to article 6, section 6, subdivision d regarding the number of Supreme Court justices in New York judicial districts

Removes the existing restriction that limited increases in Supreme Court justices to one justice per 50,000 population (or fraction over 30,000) based on federal census or state enumeration data

Allows the legislature to increase the number of justices in any judicial district without the population-based cap that currently applies

Maintains the requirement that the legislature cannot decrease the number of justices below the number authorized on the effective date of the article

Requires the amendment to be referred to the first regular legislative session after the next general election and published for 3 months before that election, per constitutional procedures
