Amends Criminal Procedure Law Section 2.10 to add a new subdivision designating the animal control officer of the town of Sand Lake, Rensselaer County, as a peace officer.

Allows the town board of Sand Lake to designate the animal control officer as a constable for enforcing Article 26 of the Agriculture and Markets Law and issuing appearance tickets under Article 7 of that law.

Prohibits the officer from carrying, possessing, repairing, or disposing of a firearm unless they obtain the appropriate license under Penal Law Section 400.00.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
