Increases the standard of monthly need for public assistance eligibility effective July 1, 2024, with new amounts ranging from $263 for a single person to $1,027 for a household of six, plus $141 for each additional person (previously $158 to $617 with $85 per additional person).

Increases maximum monthly grants and allowances for public assistance recipients effective July 1, 2024, using the same new schedule as the standard of monthly need amounts.

Increases home energy grant amounts effective July 1, 2024, from $14.10-$55.20 monthly to $47-$183 monthly for households of one to six persons, with $25 added per additional person (previously $7.50).

Increases supplemental home energy grant amounts effective July 1, 2024, from $11-$42 monthly to $30-$114 monthly for households of one to six persons, with $14 added per additional person (previously $5).

Requires annual adjustments to all need standards and grant amounts beginning July 1, 2024, based on federal Social Security Administration cost of living adjustments.
