Amends the Retirement and Social Security Law to include university police officers appointed by the State University of New York (SUNY) in the definition of "police officer" for heart disease disability benefits.

Adds subdivision (i) of section 302 to the list of police and fire service definitions, specifically covering SUNY police officers in the New York State and Local Police and Fire Retirement System (NYSLPFRS).

Creates a presumption that heart disease in SUNY police officers is job-related if they passed a pre-service physical examination showing no heart disease evidence.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.

Expected fiscal impact is negligible, with few additional performance-of-duty disability retirements anticipated.
