Amends insurance law to require insureds receive the same reimbursement for podiatric services whether provided by a physician or licensed podiatrist, within the lawful scope of podiatric practice.

Permits reasonable deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, fee limits, and utilization review for podiatric care coverage, provided these amounts are non-discriminatory and no different than those applied to similar services by other health professionals.

Applies requirements to health insurance policies issued by health service corporations and medical expense indemnity corporations that cover physician office services and major medical coverage.

Prohibits policies from directing treatment in a manner discriminative against podiatric care or from preventing coverage of podiatric services provided by licensed doctors of podiatry in hospital facilities on a staff or employee basis.

Takes effect January 1st following enactment and applies to policies and contracts issued, renewed, modified, altered, or amended on or after the effective date.
