Grants Daniel Miller retroactive Tier V membership in the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System, changing his membership date from May 21, 2012 to March 7, 2012 (when he became a permanent employee with the Town of Hempstead).

Miller must file a written request with the state comptroller on or before December 31, 2023 to be eligible for the retroactive membership.

Miller will not receive a refund of any employee contributions already made to the retirement system.

Town of Hempstead must bear all past service costs, estimated at approximately $38,000 as a one-time payment and approximately $4,000 in annual contribution increases for fiscal year ending March 31, 2024.
