Establishes a 27-member Adirondack Park Affordable Housing Task Force to conduct a comprehensive review of affordable housing issues and make recommendations for addressing them.

Task force membership includes the commissioners of housing and labor, the executive director of the Adirondack Park Agency, one representative from each county containing part of the park, the president of the Adirondack Community Housing Trust, and ten members appointed by the governor with legislative recommendations.

Task force members receive no compensation but are reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses, with the housing commissioner and Adirondack Park Agency director serving as joint chairs.

Task force must submit a report to the governor and legislative leaders by January 1, 2026 that includes a definition of affordable housing for the park, current and projected housing availability by jurisdiction, causes of housing shortages, affordable housing targets, and recommendations for state and local policy measures.

The act takes effect immediately and expires on December 31, 2026.
