Grants James Unger service credit under section 384-d of the Retirement and Social Security Law for his employment with the Erie County Sheriff's Department from January 21, 2003 to September 6, 2006.

Requires Unger to file a tier reinstatement application with the New York State and Local Police and Fire Retirement System and pay all associated costs before the service credit can be granted.

Mandates that a request for service credit be filed with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date.

Assigns all past service costs, estimated at approximately $219,000 as a one-time payment due February 1, 2024, to the Town of West Seneca.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
