Authorizes Marie Glarakis, a retired Suffolk County police officer receiving performance of duty disability retirement from the New York State and Local Police and Fire Retirement System, to change her retirement option from "Joint allowance" to "Single life allowance" (Option 0).

Permits Glarakis to remove James Scandariato as her designated pension beneficiary, with no beneficiary selected under the new option and pension benefits ceasing upon her death.

Requires Glarakis to submit a request to the state comptroller within six months of the act's effective date to effect the change.

Recalculates and pays the new benefit amount as of the effective date of the act, resulting in an estimated immediate past service cost of approximately $50,000 to be shared by the State of New York and all participating NYSLPFRS employers.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
