County boards of elections may establish one or more portable polling locations for early voting, with the maximum number determined by the state board of elections based on population.

Portable polling locations must be designated no later than 14 days before an election.

Location selection must consider population density, travel time, proximity to other early voting sites, public transportation routes, commuter traffic patterns, and other relevant factors to maximize voter access.

Portable polling locations must operate for at least three consecutive days and cannot replace or reduce the number of existing early voting polling places.

Ballots cast at portable polling locations must comply with existing election law provisions for early voting.
