Allows Jamie Buffone, a police officer who worked for the Village of Seneca Falls from August 5, 2002 through October 11, 2005, to receive credit for that service under the special twenty-year retirement plan in section 384-d of the retirement and social security law.

Requires the Town of Seneca Falls to file a resolution with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date electing to assume the additional cost of crediting this service.

Permits Jamie Buffone to elect coverage under section 384-d of the retirement and social security law by filing a request with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date.

Places all implementation costs on the Town of Seneca Falls, estimated at approximately $108,000 as a one-time payment if enacted during the 2024 legislative session.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
