Amends Village Law Section 3-300 to allow the Village Board of Trustees of Laurel Hollow (Nassau County) to provide by resolution that the village justice and/or associate justice positions may be held by persons who are not village residents, provided they reside in Nassau County or the Town of Huntington in Suffolk County.

Amends Public Officers Law Section 3 to exempt Laurel Hollow village justices and associate justices from standard residency requirements that typically require officials to reside within their political subdivision, allowing them to reside in Nassau County or the Town of Huntington instead.

Clarifies that the exemption applies only to Laurel Hollow and does not change residency requirements for village justices in any other village.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
