Authorizes Tammy Sciavillo, wife of deceased firefighter Vito Sciavillo, to file an application for continuation of state health insurance benefits under section 165-a of the civil service law.

Vito Sciavillo was employed by the Greenville Fire District in Westchester County at the time of his death on August 30, 2022.

Deems Ms. Sciavillo eligible for benefits despite the discontinuation of coverage following her husband's death.

Requires applications be filed with the New York state department of civil service within one year of the act's effective date to be considered timely.

Designates the Greenville Fire District responsible for all implementation costs, with future costs subject to article fourteen of the civil service law.
