Allows New York State Police members covered under Section 381-b of the Retirement and Social Security Law to receive service credit for prior service as deputy sheriffs, county corrections officers, or uniformed personnel in Department of Corrections and Community Supervision institutions engaged in law enforcement activities.

Provides three months of service credit for every five months of prior service, with a maximum of two years of additional service credit, available only to members with more than seventeen years of current service.

Requires members to pay three percent of their compensation earned during the twelve months preceding their application for each year of additional service credit claimed, with option for payroll deduction over the credited service period.

Prohibits members who previously received credit under section 1000 of the law from receiving credit under this provision and allows service credit to render members eligible for immediate service retirement.

Requires the State of New York to pay all costs for the credited service other than the member contribution costs, with estimated past service costs averaging approximately 27% of affected members' most recent annual compensation per year of additional service credited.
