Grants retroactive Tier IV retirement status to Marc Del Prado, a current employee of the New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs, with an effective membership date of August 2, 2004.

Allows Del Prado to claim this status for prior employment as a lifeguard (August 2, 2004 to September 29, 2009) and coach (November 7, 2011 to November 7, 2013) with Mohonasen Central School District, during which he failed to enroll in the retirement system through no fault of his own.

Requires Del Prado to file a written request with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date to claim Tier IV status.

No member contributions made by Del Prado shall be returned or refunded under this act.

State of New York shall bear all past service costs, including an estimated one-time payment of approximately $63,700 and approximately $4,400 in increased annual contributions for fiscal year 2023-2024.
