Allows health care professionals licensed in other states or territories to practice in New York if appointed by World Triathlon Corporation for a sanctioned event, without obtaining New York licensure or certification.

Covered professions include physicians, physician assistants, massage therapists, physical therapists, chiropractors, dentists, optometrists, nurses, nurse practitioners, emergency medical technicians, podiatrists, and athletic trainers.

Practitioners must be in good standing in their home jurisdiction and may only serve athletes and team personnel registered to train or compete in World Triathlon Corporation-sanctioned events in New York.

Services are permitted for four days before through one day after the Ironman Lake Placid event scheduled for July 21, 2024.

The act takes effect immediately and expires on July 24, 2024.
