Expands the scope of work authorized for licensed athletic trainers by modifying restrictions on neurological injury management.

Prohibits athletic trainers from managing and treating acute, subacute, or chronic neurological pathologies, comorbidities, or disease processes.

Permits athletic trainers to perform initial evaluation and triage of emergent neurological conditions including potential concussions, spinal cord injuries, and nerve injuries resulting from athletic activity.

Allows athletic trainers to manage, monitor, and treat concussions and peripheral nerve injuries during rehabilitation following physician clearance and a signed written agreement or protocol.

Takes effect on the same date as the 2023 legislation requiring licensure of athletic trainers (S. 942-A and A. 219-A).
