Repeals section 264 of the public health law relating to physician coursework or training in nutrition that was added in 2023.

Adds new section 6505-e to the education law requiring the Department of Education, in consultation with the Department of Health, to compile a list of continuing medical education courses and training opportunities in nutrition.

Compilation shall include plant-based nutrition, clinically proven methods for prevention and reversal of diet-related illnesses, and information on racial disparities in diet-related disease outcomes.

Requires the compiled list be made publicly available on both the Department of Education and Department of Health websites and updated and redistributed at least every two years via email to licensed physicians.

Department shall consult with professional organizations, higher education institutions, and nutrition experts when compiling resources.
