Requires managed care insurance policies that cover physician office services or major medical coverage to include coverage for medically tailored meals and medical nutrition therapy prescribed by certified dieticians, certified nutritionists, or medical doctors for treating cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, and other dementias.

Limits individual coverage to a maximum of 10 meals per week for a maximum duration of 3 months per chronic condition diagnosis, with the option to renew coverage upon reassessment and new prescription from a qualified healthcare provider.

Allows managed care plans to impose reasonable deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, and utilization review on medically tailored meal services, provided these are no more restrictive than those applied to other chronic disease management services.

Requires all medically tailored meal vendors to be pre-approved by the managed care plan and have menus reviewed and approved by a certified dietician, certified nutritionist, or medical doctor.

Applies to managed care products offered under three insurance law sections covering different insurance types, with an effective date of 180 days after the bill becomes law.
