Requires all public school districts, BOCES, charter schools, and nonpublic schools in New York to develop policies ensuring a dedicated room is available as a "calming space" for students

Calming spaces must accommodate activities including praying, meditating, and self-calming

Applies to New York City schools under the chancellor's authority as well as all other school districts statewide

Takes effect on July 1st following enactment, with immediate authorization for agencies to develop necessary rules and regulations for implementation
