Exempts Michael Kurtz from age requirements and other provisions of section 58 of the civil service law that would otherwise prevent him from taking the competitive civil service examination for police officer.

Authorizes Kurtz, who has been continuously employed as a part-time police officer by the village of Warsaw in Wyoming County, to take the competitive examination for the full-time police officer position.

Makes Kurtz eligible for placement on the eligible list for appointment as a full-time police officer with the village of Warsaw police department contingent upon his examination score.

Requires Kurtz to meet all merit and fitness provisions of civil service law applicable to full-time police officers.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
