Commissioner of Education shall establish domestic violence awareness curriculum or instruction for school districts in consultation with the State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence, Office of Children and Family Services, and other appropriate agencies.

Curriculum content may vary to meet the needs of particular school districts and need not be uniform statewide.

Content must be age appropriate and developed according to the needs and abilities of pupils at successive grade levels to provide skills, information, and support for domestic violence awareness.

Schools may include the materials as a component of health curriculum or incorporate them in any other manner the school deems appropriate.

Act takes effect July 1, 2025.
