Requires the chief administrator of courts to assign a uniformed court officer during court proceedings upon municipal request, or coordinate a law enforcement officer if a uniformed officer is unavailable.

Entitles political subdivisions providing court security services to reimbursement from the state, with no costs to municipalities for law enforcement officers substituting for court officers.

Allows justice court funding to be used for costs of hiring nonjudicial court security or reimbursing local law enforcement services.

Increases the funding limit for justice court applications from $30,000 to $250,000 per applicant, or proportionally higher for joint applications.

Expands the New York State Court Officer Academy to include training for court officers assigned to unified justice courts and establishes training requirements for uniformed court officers.
