Appointments distributed among the governor (one member), temporary president of the senate (one), senate minority leader (one), assembly speaker (one), assembly minority leader (one), and mental health commissioner (two), with all appointees required to have expertise in mental health, suicide prevention, and knowledge of the Latina community.

Task force charged with studying current mental health and suicide prevention practices, recommending improvements to increase effectiveness across the state, and determining reasons for high suicide rates among Latinas.

Requires a preliminary report to the governor and legislature within thirteen months and a final report within twenty-two months of the effective date, including legislative proposals to implement recommendations.

Task force expires and provisions automatically repeal two years after the effective date.
