Amends Criminal Procedure Law Section 182.20 to add Oswego County to the list of counties where defendants may appear electronically in criminal proceedings.

Permits courts in authorized counties to dispense with the defendant's personal appearance, except at hearings or trials, if the chief administrator of courts authorizes electronic appearance and the defendant consents on the record after consulting with counsel.

Requires defendant consent for electronic appearance to be obtained at the commencement of each electronic appearance.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment, with automatic repeal of the amended provision if the underlying statute is repealed.
