Authorizes the Town of Southold to enroll six named police officers (Frank Lyburd III, Brian McNamara, Peter J. Jacobs, Roman S. Wilinski, Alex U. Chenche, and Tara Tandy) in the optional twenty-year retirement plan under sections 384-d and 384-e of the Retirement and Social Security Law.

Grants full service credit for all prior service to officers who were previously enrolled in the general retirement plan due to reasons not attributable to their own negligence.

Requires the Town of Southold to file a resolution with the state comptroller within six months of the act's effective date, and allows officers to elect coverage within one year.

Requires the Town of Southold to bear all implementation costs, including a one-time past service cost of approximately $1.30 million, which may be amortized over five years at an estimated $291,000 annually plus interest.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
