Requires health insurance policies providing medical coverage or comprehensive major medical coverage to include diabetes and prediabetes screening for Asian American and Pacific Islander individuals with a body mass index of 23 KG/M2 or greater

Applies to individual policies issued under Insurance Law Section 3216, group and blanket policies under Section 3221, and medical expense and health service corporation contracts under Section 4303

Prohibits insurers from imposing deductibles, co-insurance, co-payments, or any other cost-sharing requirements on the diabetes screening coverage

Takes effect immediately and applies to all policies and contracts issued, renewed, modified, altered, or amended on or after the effective date
