Deems deceased firefighter Derek Floyd, who died on April 15, 2024, as an active member of the New York City Fire Pension Fund at the time of his death, despite his employment ending on November 9, 2023.

Entitles Derek Floyd's widow, Christine Floyd, to receive pension benefits she would have been entitled to if he had been an active fund member at death, including a Tier 3 Ordinary Death Benefit equal to three times his final salary (approximately $276,600).

Requires the New York City Fire Department to pay all implementation costs, with an expected employer contribution increase of $307,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $0 in all other years through 2049.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
