Adds new Section 72-s to General Municipal Law establishing reimbursement for childcare and dependent care expenses incurred by volunteer members of public bodies while performing their duties, including attendance at regular or special meetings.

Requires volunteer members to submit documentation of childcare or dependent care costs to the appropriate public officer, designated person, municipality, or political subdivision overseeing the public body for reimbursement.

Amends Section 64 of the Public Officers Law to explicitly include childcare and dependent care expenses as reimbursable actual expenses for public officers not receiving compensation for their services.

Defines "public body" using the same meaning as established in Section 102 of the Public Officers Law.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
