Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence must conduct a study on domestic violence in the transgender community, with particular focus on domestic violence against Black transgender women

Study must examine the prevalence, causes, effects, risks, and costs of domestic violence on the transgender community

Study must identify ways to reduce domestic violence and increase reporting within the transgender community, and analyze why Black transgender women are disproportionately affected

Office must submit a report with study findings and recommendations for legislative or other actions to the governor, senate president, assembly speaker, and minority leaders of both chambers within one year of the act's effective date

Act takes effect immediately upon enactment
