Mandates health insurance policies providing medical, major medical, or comprehensive coverage include follow-up screening or diagnostic services for lung cancer when recommended by a licensed health care provider.

Prohibits patient cost sharing (copayments, coinsurance, deductibles) for covered lung cancer follow-up screening or diagnostic services.

Applies to policies issued, renewed, modified, altered or amended on or after January 1, 2026.

Amends insurance law sections 3216, 3221, and 4303, and social services law section 365-a to establish uniform coverage requirements across multiple insurance plan types.
