Establishes a rebuttable presumption that amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) disability or death is job-related for paid fire department members in cities with populations of one million or more who passed a physical exam upon entry with no evidence of ALS.

Applies to active members and retired members who have been retired for five or less years.

Performance of duty disability benefits equal 75% of Final Average Salary; performance of duty death benefits equal 50% of wages from the last year of service plus Special Accidental Death Benefit if applicable.

Estimated cost of $231,000 annually in year one for a single incident, with cumulative employer contribution increases over 25 years depending on incident frequency.

Directs the New York City Fire Department Pension Fund board of trustees to take administrative action to implement the legislation, effective immediately.
