Adds new Penal Law section 155.44 to enhance penalties for larceny offenses against persons age 60 or older, upgrading misdemeanors to class E felonies or raising felonies one category higher.

Enhancement applies only if the offender knew or learned the victim's age during the offense and has a prior conviction for a similar larceny offense against an elderly person.

Adds new Penal Law section 165.67 to enhance penalties for criminal possession of stolen property (sections 165.40, 165.45, 165.50, 165.52) against persons age 60 or older under the same conditions as larceny enhancements.

Requires offender knowledge of victim's age and a prior conviction for criminal possession of stolen property involving an elderly person for the enhancement to apply.

Takes effect 90 days after becoming law.
