Defines "managed natural landscape" as intentionally planted and maintained native or non-native grasses, wildflowers, shrubs, or trees (including rain gardens and meadow vegetation), excluding unattended turf grass and noxious weeds.

Prohibits local boards of health from declaring managed natural landscapes a nuisance if plants and grasses exceed eight inches in height, have gone to seed, and remain within private property bounds.

Exempts private property owners maintaining managed natural landscapes consistent with public health law from town board requirements to cut, trim, or remove brush, grass, or weeds.

Exempts managed natural landscapes from New York City nuisance regulations if the property owner is maintaining them in accordance with the law's definition.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
