Acknowledges that hospice and palliative care provide emotional, spiritual, and social support to patients and families, including caregiver training and bereavement services.

Notes that 1.72 million Medicare beneficiaries received hospice care in 2020 and that these organizations serve as advocates for advance care planning and decision-making.

Directs transmission of the resolution to Governor Hochul for proclamation purposes.
