Requests Governor Kathy Hochul proclaim September 25, 2024, as Bangladeshi Immigrant Day in New York State.

Commemorates September 25, 1974, when Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered the first speech in Bengali to the United Nations General Assembly.

Recognizes New York City as home to the largest Bangladeshi community in America, with over 250,000 Bangladeshi-born immigrants living in the state.

Acknowledges the contributions and cultural presence of Bangladeshi Americans, including the Muktadhara Foundation's 20-year history of promoting Bengali culture through community events.

Directs copies of the resolution to be transmitted to Governor Hochul and Bishawjit Saha, CEO of the Muktadhara Foundation.
