Reo served with the 1st Marine Division in Korea after joining the United States Marine Corps on October 19, 1950, and fought in the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir and Battle of Hwacheon (Hill 902)

Awarded the Purple Heart with Gold Star for wounds received on March 23, 1951 and April 24, 1951, along with multiple other military decorations including the Korean Service Medal and Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon

Worked for 38 years at General Electrical Silicones in research and development and co-founded three successful businesses, earning 12 patents as Vice President of Research & Development for Specialty Silicone Products

Passed away on July 18, 2023, after 46 years of marriage and was an active community member serving as a volunteer fireman and member of the Knights of Columbus and VFW Memorial Post No. 5800
