Encourages employers, associations, and schools to conduct job fairs, panel discussions, and local community events during the month to inform students of construction employment opportunities.

Recognizes the construction industry as one of the nation's largest industries, employing approximately 7.8 million people as of January 2023, representing about 2.9% of the U.S. workforce.

Honors construction craft professionals and acknowledges their critical role in infrastructure development and the economic foundation of New York State.
